Watch for ticket onsale details later this Fall.

RockyGrass is widely known as a “picker’s festival.” And that pickin’ happens in the campgrounds — late-night intimate jams where the pros and the hot-shot Festivarians trade songs and licks.

Though the music on the main stage continues to blow our mind every single year, for many Festivarians the campground scene is the RockyGrass experience. With more than half of the RockyGrass Festivarians camping in Lyons during the festival, learn more about the campgrounds we’re offering in 2020.

See below for camping rules and regulations (such as camping is sold PER PERSON–NOT per site). Once you have your camping passes, be sure to start thinking about our green campsite challenge. Or if sleeping under the stars isn’t your thing, check out the various lodging options.

CAMPING CHANGES FOR 2020

  • River Bend camping passes are now sold as a bundle that also includes a 3-day pass. Your River Bend camping wristband will also grant you festival access.
  • LaVern Johnson (Meadow) Park camping begins on Wednesday @ 9:30am. Due to new agreements with the Town of Lyons, Planet Bluegrass will begin running this campground several days later than past years. Prior to Wednesday, camping may be purchased from the Town of Lyons. The general public will have free access to this park until 9am on Wednesday morning.
  • Festavarians who purchase camping from the Town Of Lyons on Tuesday night may remain in their DESIGNATED CAMPSITE through Planet Bluegrass takeover on Wedensday morning.
  • Family Camping at Lavern Johnson (Meadow) Park. This campground will include an area designated as “family camping” which observes specified “quiet hours”. (River Bend will no longer have a designated family camping area.)
  • If you plan to arrive prior to the opening gates for the On-Site, River Bend, or LaVern Johnson (Meadow) Park campgrounds, please read the load-in policy for each campground.
