Telluride Bluegrass
June 17-20, 2027
Every Summer Solstice, over 10,000 Festivarians converge on the historic mining town in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado (elevation 8,750’) for 4 days of adventurous acoustic music in the stunning Telluride box canyon. Since its early years, the unique genre of “Telluride Bluegrass” has embraced a diverse family of artists including Sam Bush, Robert Plant, Mumford & Sons, Brandi Carlile, Norah Jones, Zach Top, Greensky Bluegrass, Emmylou Harris, and many more.
With music on the main stage, intimate workshop performances at Elks Park, late-night indoor NightGrass concerts, and pickin’ in campgrounds ‘til dawn, Telluride Bluegrass is the “granddaddy of the modern festival circuit” (Relix).
RockyGrass
July 23-25, 2027
Over 4,000 Festivarians descend on the historic quarry town of Lyons, Colorado (just 15 minutes north of Boulder in the Rocky Mountain foothills) during the last weekend in July for one of the world’s premiere traditional bluegrass festivals. With headliners including Steve Martin, Ricky Skaggs, Peter Rowan, The Infamous Stringdusters, Del McCoury Band, Alison Krauss, and more, RockyGrass has consistently sold-out in advance for the past decade.
The week leading up to the event, the RockyGrass Academy offers 300 musicians of all ages an opportunity to learn bluegrass from many of the festival performers, including instrument-building courses and a Kids’ Camp.
Rocky Mountain Folks Festival
August 6-8, 2027
In early August, the flow of the St. Vrain River slows through the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons to the pace of songs and stories at the “summit on the song” as we welcome 4,000 Festivarians to our celebration of songwriters from around the world – including headliners Lake Street Dive, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Jesse Welles, Gregory Alan Isakov, Jackson Browne, Bob Weir, Ani DiFranco, Lyle Lovett, and so many more.
Many of the performers spend the week before the festival teaching the art, craft, and business of songwriting for several hundred aspiring songwriters at The Song School.
