For years, we have worked with organizations in our community to amplify their missions. These engagements have varied in nature from financial support to on-site booth space at our events that allows groups to converse with our Festivarians.

Applicants must be local or regional nonprofits that have a history of benefiting the San Miguel County, Colorado regional community or a local or regional nonprofit support program or activity accessible to the Town of Telluride community.

We prefer funding projects or organizations that have a focus on the following areas: Environment, Social, Education, Music, Arts, Culture, Community.

Funding awards typically range from $500 to $10,000 and are typically paid out in October/November following the festival season. If funding is needed earlier, please make a note of this in your application.

Applicants who would like to further distinguish themselves are encouraged, but not required, to submit additional multi-media storytelling materials in support of their project, including but not limited to: photos, videos, samples, slideshows, verbal presentations, etc.

Should the proposal be reviewed favorably, a memorandum of agreement which provides clarification or more information about the proposed project may be requested.

All applications will be reviewed and evaluated by Planet Bluegrass and its affiliates. The following criteria will be used to evaluate proposals:

-Creativity – How unique is the project? How unique was your proposal?

-Catalyst Potential – Does your project have the opportunity to “kick off” something bigger?

-Local – How does this organization’s history and mission benefit the San Miguel County, Colorado regional community; or how do they support programs or activities accessible to the Town of Telluride community?

-Project Impact – How much does this project affect the lives and well-being of the target audience?

-Funding Impact – We love to see our funding support projects that might not otherwise occur at all.

-Established History – Has your project received funding from us before?
