For a Planet unto itself, we are remarkably accessible. All major airlines (and many minor ones) fly into Denver International Airport (DIA), which is about an hour drive from Lyons. We are an hour from Denver and Fort Collins, and 30 minutes from Boulder or Estes Park.

Directions to Planet Bluegrass

The Planet Bluegrass Ranch is located on Hwy 36, just northwest of the historic downtown area of Lyons, CO. Our property is bordered by the North St. Vrain River on the east, encompassing all the acreage on the east side of Hwy 36 between the two bridges just outside of Lyons. Ride Share

The Folks Festival experience begins with your journey to Lyons. Share the pilgrimage with a full carload. Connect with fellow Festivarians and arrange to carpool by visiting the “Hitching a Ride” board at our Festivarian Forum. Share the gas cost, share your playlist, and meet some future tarpmates.

Public Transportation

RTD (Denver-Boulder area bus system) no longer offers daily service to Lyons. But they do provide service from the airport to Boulder. 800-366-7433 / www.rtd-denver.com

Biking to Folks Festival

The area around Lyons has some of the best bicycling on Colorado’s Front Range. For the past few years, several inspiring groups have organized rides of varying lengths to RockyGrass and Folks Festival. Some of these rides incorporate gear transport to the festival, parties for cyclists, and other benefits.
