Honoring the memory and musical legacy of B.J. Suter and Angela Gold—two passionate, community-driven artists who embodied the spirit of creativity, connection, and compassion–this fund is intended to provide tuition assistance to a limited number of students who feel they are in need of financial assistance. Created in partnership with eTown, a nonprofit dedicated to music, community, and environmental stewardship, the scholarship supports songwriters seeking to deepen their craft at the renowned Song School in Lyons, Colorado.

We are deeply grateful to the generous donors who made it possible for eight students to attend the 2025 Song School with partial tuition assistance. Your support helped open the door for these musicians to learn, grow, and share their voices in our community.

Through this fund, B.J. and Angela’s love for music, mentorship, and connection lives on—nurturing the next generation of performing songwriters.

As we look ahead, we hope to continue expanding the reach of this fund and invite others to join us in making Song School accessible for more students in the future.

Sorry, the 2026 application is now closed. To be considered for a 2026 scholarship, applicants must have completed the Song School Tuition Assistance Application form by May 1, 2026 at 10:00 PM MT. All information will be kept confidential.

Applicants will be notified by May 12 of their award status. Students who have already purchased a ticket will receive a refund to their original form of payment if they are awarded assistance.
