Registration for the 2025 RockyGrass Academy will open January 16th, 2025 at 10am MT via our ticketing partner, See Tickets. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early to get a random spot in the Queue-it system! NOTE: If you are not automatically put into the Queue-it system that shows a countdown to the opening of the registration, try refreshing your browser by hitting the circular “refresh” arrow at the top of your window.
2025 Academy Pricing
A non-refundable payment of $150 reserves your space in The Academy. The remainder of your payment will automatically be charged on April 15th, 2025. You must select “Payment Plan” before checking out or it will default to full payment. As always, pricing is “all-in” meaning all fees and applicable taxes are included.

This pass must be purchased if you wish to camp in your vehicle (ie Van, Trailer, Truck) within in the campground. This is sold as a bundle package with RockyGrass Onsite Vehicle Pass to minimize the movement of vehicles within the campground between events. The maximum length for an on-site vehicle is 20 feet

The maximum number of students allowed to be purchased in a single order is five (5). This includes both adults, vehicles, and kids. You are limited to one(1) per class so you can’t purchase (3) Novice Banjo classes but you can purchase (1) Novice Banjo and (1) Intermediate Banjo.
These limits are designed to allow families or groups to attend together but limits groups from buying too many tickets at once or more than they need.
A limited number of Bundled Academy & RockyGrass Onsite Vehicle Passes will be available for $340. This pass must be purchased if you wish to sleep in your vehicle (ie Van, Trailer, Truck) within the campground. This is sold as a bundle package with the RockyGrass Onsite Vehicle Pass to minimize the movement of vehicles between events. The maximum length for an on-site vehicle is 20 feet. These passes are very limited and only (1) pass per order will be allowed at check out.
FREE PARKING is still available (you can still store stuff in your car) just outside the campground. Vehicles can remain here for the entire Academy.

No. Only Medical Refunds for the full tuition will be issued. Please email schools@bluegrass.com with note from your doctor as soon as you are aware that you will not be able to attend Academy.
If the payment plan was selected, the $150 deposit paid at the time of purchase to hold the spot for Academy is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your registration before April 15th, please email schools@bluegrass.com so that the the remainder of the payment ($675) will not be charged to the card on file. This will cancel the Academy spot and it will be released via Festivarian.com on a future date.
If the full payment has already been made. A refund will only be issued if it is due to a Medical reason. Please email schools@bluegrass.com with a note from your doctor as soon as you are aware that you will not be able to attend Academy. If it is a not a Medical issue, no refunds from Planet Bluegrass are available but you may transfer your ticket. See FAQ “How do I transfer my Academy Ticket”.
Other people are still shopping and checking out while you have items in your cart. To avoid the situation where you go to check-out and your item is no longer available try to be as efficient as possible.
Yes, but please consider the following:
- Planet Bluegrass is not involved with any of the monetary exchanges.
- A transfer may only be completed (1) time from the Original Purchaser to a New Student. It cannot be transferred again from the New Student to another student.
- If the purchaser is transferring multiple tickets from their See Tickets Order, a new form for each transfer must be completed.
- The $150 deposit paid at the time of purchase for Academy is non-refundable.
- If a payment plan was selected the balance of the purchase $675 will be charged to the original purchaser on April 15th.
To transfer your Academy Pass please follow the instructions below:
- Find a buyer that is interested in the same instrument/level. (Festivarian.com is a good resource)
- The purchaser must fill out the “Academy Transfer Form”.
- You will need:
- Your ticket order number
- The name and email of the person you are transferring the ticket to
- This form will send an email to each party verifying that the Academy ticket has been successfully transferred.
- You will need:
- The new student will then receive all communications about Academy to finalize their registration.
- The new student will check-in at Academy under their own name.
- Note that even after this ticket is transferred via this from, the ticket will still show up in the original purchaser’s See Tickets account. The ticket however will not be valid at check-in since it has been transferred to a new student.
