Upper Lawson Vehicle Campground

4-Day GA Pass Required

Upper Lawson Vehicle Campground is located four miles from Town Park along the San Miguel River. It is an expansion of the Lawson Hill Campground, that is strictly for vehicle camping, not tent camping. This vehicle campground does have areas of shade. Every camper sleeping in the vehicle must have a 4-day festival pass.

Opens: Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 8am

Closes: Monday, June 23, 2025 at noon

Quiet Hours: 2am to 7am

Facilities: Potable water (fill jugs), porta potties, cash showers (no water, sewer, or electrical hookups for vehicles)

Location: Four miles from Telluride Town Park next to the Lawson Hill Campground off of Greenfields Lane, Telluride, CO 81435

Vibe: A new option for Festivarians that prefer vehicle camping. You can enjoy an easy bike ride into Town or catch our free shuttle directly to the Festival grounds. Either way, you’re in paradise!

Parking: You will be directed to park in your vehicle campsite based on arrival time in an orderly arrangement. No location preferences will be considered. If you have a trailer, you will be required to land your trailer and park your tow vehicle separately.

Festival Access: Jump on the paved bike path, hike the Valley Floor Trail or the River trail into town, or catch the FREE SHUTTLE that runs every 15 min. (You can try a new way each time!)

Upper Lawson Vehicle Camping:

  • The maximum vehicle length is 20’
  • 4-Day Festival passes required.
  • An Upper Lawson Vehicle Camping Pass includes camping for as many people as your vehicle sleeps (all must have 4-day Festival Passes). Additional camping tickets are NOT required.
  • You may not set up sleeping tents in your spot, however shade tents are permitted as space allows.
  • Vehicles are parked at the discretion of the campground supervisor in a first come, first served fashion.
  • All vehicle camping spaces are in a paved parking lot, and no additional space is provided at the site for tents.

Campground Rules

  • All persons (ages 13+) must have a 4-day Festival Pass
  • No tents for sleeping may be set up in the vehicle campground.
  • No pets are allowed
  • No open fires
  • No Drones
  • Use of provided compost, recycle, and landfill receptacles is required
