As sustainable Festivarians, we are proud stewards of the Earth. But sustainable festivation is not limited to taking care of the planet - it also means taking care of our communities!
In 2017, we began donating leftover food from our festival catering and vendors to local food banks. That first summer alone, we donated almost 1000 pounds of food to food banks in the Telluride region.
This practice is beneficial in more ways than one: not only are we helping our diversion rate by sending less material to the composter, and more importantly, we are supporting families and individuals in need.
