Lawson Hill Campground is located about 4 miles from Telluride Town Park along the San Miguel River. Picture a sea of tents filled with fellow Festivarians, mountain views in every direction, and the river just steps away!
Lawson Hill has a lively, communal feel and easy access to Telluride by foot, bike, or shuttle. There is very little shade or privacy, so come prepared for an open campground experience.
Campground Information
This campground opens on Tuesday, June 15 at 8am and closes on Monday, June 21 at noon.

Location: Lawson Hill Ball Fields off Greenfields Lane, Telluride, CO 81435
Festival Access: Bike the paved path, walk the Valley Floor or River Trail into town, or take the free Festival shuttle, which runs approximately every 15 minutes.
Facilities: Potable water, porta potties, and cash showers
Quiet Hours: 2am–7am
Parking Information
- You’ll be parked as close to the campground as space allows. Many vehicles will be parked in remote lots with shuttle access, so plan to unload everything you’ll need at your campsite when you arrive.
- This area of Lawson Hill is tent-camping only. There are no vehicle passes available for this campground.
- If you are camping with a vehicle, check out Town Park, Mary E. Ilium, or Lawson Hill Vehicle/RV campgrounds.
Campground Rules
- All persons (ages 13+) must have a wristband for admission into the festival and the campground.
- No riding electric bikes or similar.
- No pets are allowed.
- No open fires.
- No drones.
- Use of provided compost, recycle, and landfill receptacles is required.
- Metal pans must be used under stoves to protect grass.
- Tent stakes longer than 6” are prohibited to protect irrigation systems.
