Access to camping in Zone 1 when it initially opens is managed by a random lottery.

You don’t need to participate in the lottery if:

  • You’re arriving after the campground opens
  • You’re not picky about your spot

To participate in the random lottery on Saturday, June 13th -

  • Park your car legally in Town (MAP) (don’t park inside Town Park)
  • Walk to Town Park with only a tarp to claim space
  • Join the line HERE between 7:30am & 8:30am
  • Show your Zone 1 ticket confirmation to receive a lottery ticket
  • Staff will guide you through the randomization process
  • Claim your space with your tarp and request a temporary vehicle pass from the Camp Host to retrieve your car for unload.

Town Park

Town Park

Access to camping in Town Park when it initially opens is managed by a random lottery.

You don’t need to participate in the lottery if:

  • You’re arriving after the campground opens
  • You’re not picky about your spot

These same rules apply for vehicles & tent campers.

To participate in the random lottery on Saturday, June 13th -

  • Park your car legally in Town (MAP) (don’t park inside Town Park)
  • Walk to Town Park with only a tarp to claim space
  • Join the line HERE between 1pm & 2pm
  • Show your Town Park Wristband or Ticket Confirmation to receive a lottery ticket
  • Staff will guide you through the randomization process
  • Claim your space with your tarp and request a temporary vehicle pass from the Camp Host to retrieve your car for unload.

Notes & Additional info

If you have purchased a site in Town Park from the Town of Telluride for Friday, June 12th, you can remain in this site through the takeover of Bluegrass. However, the following guidelines will apply:

  1. You must stay within the reasonable boundaries of your site through Bluegrass takeover
  2. If you wish to camp elsewhere in the campground, you must participate in the lottery load in.
  3. If you DO NOT have a vehicle pass for the festival, please remove your vehicle from the campground between 8am and 10am on Saturday morning and you will be parked by Festival Staff. See the Festival Hosts to obtain a Festival Parking Permit
  4. All Town of Telluride Campground Rules will be strictly enforced until Bluegrass takeover.

Specifically:

  • (1) Once the online pre check-in has been completed, no modifications can be made to the reservation (the addition or change of camper names or license plates), so please plan accordingly.
  • (2) Maximum of two (2) vehicles per “Vehicle Site”
  • (3) Maximum of six (6) people per “Vehicle Site”
  • (4) Maximum of one (1) vehicle per “Walk-In Tent Site”
  • (5) Maximum of four (4) people per “Walk-In Tent Site”
  • (6) All registered vehicles, campers and tents must be contained within the designated campsite and not impacting surrounding vegetation and roadway.
  • (7) No additional parking is provided on-site for additional vehicles
  • (8) Please be respectful to Parks and Recreation Staff as well as non-festival campers who may still be in the campground prior to Bluegrass takeover.
