Tips, Tricks, and To-Do’s

Sustainable Festivation

Getting ready to start your journey to Telluride? Don’t forget these Sustainable Festivation musts!

RIDE WITH FRIENDS

Reduce your Festivation footprint by carpooling with your buddies! If every car had four riders in it, we could reduce our average greenhouse gas emissions by nearly half!

PACK IT OUT

Bring your recyclables back home with you - Telluride infrastructure is limited. Most of you are arriving from developed communities that are better equipped to handle a wider variety of waste.

DITCH THE PLASTIC

Pre-pack your food into reusable containers to reduce the amount of plastic waste in Telluride. All of that packaging that comes on your food? Leave it at home!

TURN IT OFF

Unplug your electronics before you leave home to prevent “standby” energy loss. The less energy you’re using at home, the more sustainable your festival experience will be.

REMEMBER TO REUSE

Single-use products are harmful to our environment. Do your best to reuse your cup, avoid the dreaded plastic straw, and remind your friends to do the same.

BUILD A COMMUNITY

Meet your camp neighbors. Chat with folks on nearby tarps. Make friends with the person in line behind you. Don’t forget that Sustainable Festivation includes the human component of our festival!
