Town Park Campground

The original campground of the Festival, Town Park is home to many of our large traditional camps who have made the sojourn to Telluride for decades! This campground is for Festivarians who want to stay right in the middle of the action. With a river, waterfall, plenty of shade, and a lively community, it’s one of the most immersive ways to experience the Festival.

Campground Information

This campground opens Saturday, June 12 and closes Monday, June 21. Exact times will be posted with updated load-in information.

Location: Telluride Town Park, 500 E Colorado Ave, Telluride, CO 81435

Festival Access: Step out of your tent and you’re there! This campground is located at the Festival grounds, and you can even hear the Main Stage from your campsite!

Facilities: Potable water, porta potties, permanent bathrooms, and token showers.

Quiet Hours: None. Expect late-night (and early morning) jams!

Vehicle Camping and Parking Information

  • A vehicle pass is required for each vehicle staying inside the campground. A limited number of vehicle passes are available.
  • Anyone sleeping in a vehicle, including ADA campers, must have both a vehicle pass for each vehicle and a camping pass for each camper.
  • Maximum vehicle length: 24 feet
  • If you have a vehicle pass, plan to leave your vehicle parked in the campground for the duration of your stay.
  • If you do not have a vehicle pass, you’ll be parked as close to Town Park as possible. Parking is located throughout town, so be prepared to walk or shuttle to camp.

Camping Before or After the Festival

This campground requires reservations year-round.

For more information on camping in Town Park before or after the Planet Bluegrass takeover on Saturday, June 12, please visit telluride.gov.

Please note: If you have a Town of Telluride campground reservation beginning Monday, June 21, you’ll need to break down your campsite, check back in with the Town, and set up again.

Zone 1 Information

Part of the Town Park Festival Campground includes the Zone 1 Preserve, managed by the Telluride Open Space Commission. The differentiation can be seen on this map.

If you would like to camp in the Zone 1 section, a separate pass will be required. Zone 1 is tent-camping only.

Campground Rules

  • All persons (ages 13+) must have a wristband for admission into the festival and the campground.
  • A vehicle pass is required for camping with a vehicle.
  • No riding electric bikes.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • No open fires.
  • No drones.
  • Avoid hanging from & leaning items against trees, especially aspen saplings.
  • Use of provided compost, recycle, and landfill receptacles is required.
  • Metal pans must be used under stoves to protect grass.
  • For Zone 1: no items tied to trees.
